Civil Engg.

Civil Engineering stands tall as the most versatile branch among all engineering disciplines, boasting a spectrum of specialties ranging from geotechnical and structural engineering to environmental studies, hydraulics, transportation, and hydrology. Its pervasive influence renders Civil Engineering the cornerstone of infrastructural development worldwide.

Embracing this ethos of versatility and innovation, the Department of Civil Engineering at RKCAT, BALASORE, is dedicated to fostering excellence in engineering education, knowledge creation, research innovation, and professional leadership. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to shaping adept engineers poised to address the evolving challenges of the modern world.

Our department offers a comprehensive three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering program alongside specialized two-year lateral entry courses, catering to the dynamic needs of aspiring engineers. Currently, our esteemed department accommodates a total of 414 dedicated students pursuing their diploma aspirations. Under the guidance of our experienced faculty, comprising 10 esteemed teaching staff and 1 proficient Technical Officer, students are empowered to delve into various facets of civil engineering, equipping themselves with the requisite skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen domains.

Seat Availability: For the three-year Diploma program, we extend a total of 138 seats, thoughtfully allocated to ensure equitable access. Of these, 120 seats are reserved for General category students, while 6 seats are designated for TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) candidates, and 12 seats are earmarked for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) applicants. Additionally, our two-year lateral entry program offers 14 coveted seats, with 12 seats open for General category candidates, 1 seat allocated for TFW participants, and 1 seat dedicated to EWS aspirants.

Fee Structure: In our pursuit of inclusive education, we have devised a fair and transparent fee structure. General category students are expected to contribute 28600 per year towards their education, while TFW candidates benefit from a reduced fee of 11600 per year. Recognizing the financial constraints faced by EWS students, we offer a subsidized fee of 6600 per year, ensuring that economic barriers do not hinder access to quality education.

At RKCAT, BALASORE, we envision a future where every graduate emerges as a proficient engineer, poised to leave an indelible mark in the realm of civil engineering. Through our holistic approach to education, research, and professional development, we strive to nurture a generation of engineers equipped to address the complexities of a rapidly evolving world.
